Description 3M™ Gripping Tapes

Basicallu the range of 3M™ grip tapes (gripping tapes) is ideal for processes in which we have to increase friction and reduce slippage, whether in dry, wet or oily conditions.

  • Adheives-backed: Adhesion on contact with metals, plastics and sealed wood for a quick and easy increase in traction; in applications such as fishing rods, vehicle handlebars and forklift steering wheels.
    • GM400
    • GM531
    • GM631
    • GM641
    • GM731

  • Plain-backed: They offer greater elasticity and are more focused for applications with gloves (sports, work, etc.), where the improvement in grip increases the performance of the task.
    • GM110
    • GM530
    • GM630
    • GM640

  • Immediate release when we let go of the hand.

Product choice in 5 steps

  1. Determine if you need adhesive or smooth backing.
  2. Evaluate the tactility (firmness/smoothness – dryness/humidity) of the surface.
  3. Define if the final use conditions are going to involve gloves or not.
  4. Find the balance between touch-durability-friction.
  5. Choose the adhesive tape depending on whether the final use is going to be in a task at home, at work or doing an activity.
