3M Adhesion Promoter 111 is used for surface preparation. This 3M primer for VHB™ provides better and faster adhesion of these tapes for application. It comes in monodose glass tubes with a small applicator sponge at the tip of the tube format of 0.66ml or in 250ml bottle. This primer is manufactured with an alcohol base. Characteristics
- 3M Adhesion Promoter 111 is used for alcohol based adhesives.
- Transparent once applied.
- Can be used on metallic and painted substrates.
- Increases the speed at which the highest adhesion of the tape is achieved, both at room temperature and at cold temperatures.
Applications
- Before each application, test surfaces and paint formulations.
- For the correct application of the product, the surface to be primed must be dry and free of dirt and grease. After applying the primer, allow it to dry thoroughly before applying the tape, approx. 5 minutes.
- Another application of 3M Primer AP111 is for use in Autospoiler / Tunning. To accelerate the adhesion of self-adhesive tapes and LED strips on problematic surfaces such as: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), PET/PBT polybutylene (PBT) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) blends, powder coatings, wood, metal, surfaces exposed to permanent moisture (windows, shop windows, kitchens, bathrooms, mirrors) or porous surfaces.
